Hungary’s Aranynektár Kft has expressed readiness to build a honey production and processing plant in Kazakhstan, Orda.kz reports, citing the Ministry of Agriculture.
The announcement followed an August 20 meeting between company representatives and Vice Minister of Agriculture, Yermek Kenjekhanuly. The Hungarian side said the project aims to establish a modern, high-tech enterprise producing environmentally friendly, export-oriented honey that meets EU standards.
Aranynektár Kft, one of Europe’s largest beekeeping companies, produces up to 4,000 tons of honey annually — nearly equal to Kazakhstan’s total 2024 output of 5,000 tons.
Kenjekhanuly noted that the project would not only create added value domestically but also boost exports, giving Kazakh honey a stronger foothold in the EU market.
