How The Abay Region Will Be Helped

Several public foundations and organizations announced charitable collections for the victims and the families of the victims.

A fire has engulfed parts of the Abay region, there are injured and dead. President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev has ordered to provide moral and financial assistance to the victims. He said that a special fund for financial assistance will be created, which will start working this week.

Semey's volunteers also announced a fundraiser to help fight the forest fire. Now they are busy delivering food and water to firefighters. Tea and cereals are also sent in trucks.

"To help firefighters, we collect T-shirts, socks, painkillers and other medicines, as well as everything for hygiene,"

Semey's volunteers told a correspondent.     

Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation has also joined in providing assistance. The organization expressed condolences to the families of forestry workers who gave while extinguising the fire the fire, as well as to all Kazakhstanis.
