Health Ministry Not to Pursue Legal Action Over SAC Audit Report
Orda.kz reports that the Ministry of Health will not pursue legal action against the Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC), following a resolution of disagreements over the audit report without court involvement.
The announcement came from Health Minister Akmaral Alnazarova and relates to the SAC’s inspection of Kazakhstan’s drug supply system for the period 2022–2024.
The audit findings had been presented to parliament by SAC head Alikhan Smailov.
We have held several negotiations with the Chair of the SAC in the normal course of business regarding the fact that there are violations that were previously recognized, but they are imputed within the framework of this audit report. And in this regard, there is a preliminary agreement that we have discussed these uncoordinated issues without the corresponding legal proceedings. And, I think, we have already worked it out,
she said on the sidelines of a joint session of parliament.
According to Alnazarova, the Supreme Audit Chamber has acknowledged errors in its most recent report.
In working order. There are financial violations, for example, which are subject to return. We do not have such violations. There are violations that, as I said, have already been checked, previously imputed. And the second part of the violations, which does not relate to the period of work of the Ministry of Health, but as the legal successor, of course, we decided to admit, so work on the mistakes will be carried out.
Earlier, Vice Minister of Health Ardak Amangeldiyev had hinted that the ministry was prepared to go to court.
