Qaraganda region Akim Yermaganbet Bulekpayev has shared details of the return of the hockey club "Saryarka" to state ownership, Orda.kz reports.
In July 2024, the hockey club "Saryarka" was returned to the state, valued at 900 million tenge. At a briefing at the CCS, journalists asked how the club ended up in private hands, whether it was legal, and whether it was connected with the Nigmatulin family, particularly Argyn Nigmatulin.
The hockey club was transferred to trust management with the condition of extension if the investor actively engaged in it. Upon expiration of the term, the club was returned to state ownership. In fact, no buildings or property were transferred with the club - this is, in fact, only the club itself, documentation and a couple of printers. Now the club is again in our ownership, explained Bulekpaev.
When journalists again asked about the role of the Nigmatulin family in the club's management, the Akim reluctantly mentioned the former manager's name. They also asked why the prosecutor's office classified the club as an illegally acquired asset.
I have not heard or read about this. It was a trust management that was returned. And why - they did not find out. Argyn, yes. Argyn Nigmatulin. He managed for five years, after five years he returned it. As it was, so he returned it, concluded the regional Akim.
