The company BASS Gold has withdrawn from the project to develop a deposit in the Almaty region and no longer owns Block One Company LLP, which held the subsoil use rights, Orda.kz reports.
This information was published on the website of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange. It is not specified who now owns the stake or under what terms the transaction took place.
Earlier, BASS Gold, through Block One, had planned to build a processing plant at the Chinasyl-Sai deposit. The plant’s capacity was expected to reach up to 300 thousand tons of ore per year.
In 2023, the company fully acquired Block One and announced the launch of production of lead and zinc concentrate with traces of gold, silver, and cadmium. Before that, the firm was known as Forpost and was owned by entrepreneurs Chingis Sadvakassov and Yerlan Tasbulatov.
