Georgia's Interior Ministry has confirmed the arrest of 31 people during protests at Agmashenebeli Avenue near the Tbilisi Mall, Orda reports, citing IPN.
All detainees were held under administrative charges for disobeying police orders.
Some have already been released, including Nika Melia, a leader of the Coalition for Change party.
The Interior Ministry has not addressed accusations of excessive force against demonstrators, according to NG News Georgia.
Media outlets reported overnight that at least five protesters were hospitalized.
Protests continue to contest October parliamentary election results and PM Irakli Kobakhidze's announcement to postpone EU membership talks until 2028.
