President Salome Zurabishvili and 30 opposition MPs filed lawsuits to invalidate the October 26 parliamentary elections, Orda reports, citing Ekho Kavkaza.
Seven of nine judges supported rejecting the decision; it is final and not subject to appeal or revision.
Salome Zurabishvili has asserted that the ballot secrecy principle was violated during the elections and demanded that the election results be declared unconstitutional.
The Georgian Dream party, which has been ruling since 2012, won the disputed parliamentary elections, receiving a majority of 89 mandates out of 150. Opposition parties that also made it into parliament have refused to recognize the election results.
The President has repeatedly criticized the Georgian Dream and urged fellow citizens to protest the "total election falsification."
We became witnesses and victims of a Russian special operation, a hybrid war that was waged against our people, against our country, Zurabishvili emphasized.
Amid protests, she also refused to leave her post.
