Fuel Truck Fire and Explosion at Jezkazgan Oil Depot Injures Four

Three fuel trucks caught fire at an oil depot in Jezkazgan. Before firefighters arrived, an explosion occurred, followed by a hangar collapse, reports Orda.kz citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.
Four oil depot employees were injured and hospitalized.
Wearing heat-reflective suits, the first responding emergency units began extinguishing the fire.
Additional fire crews arrived shortly after. One crew was assigned to cool a neighboring fuel tank to protect it from the flames.
Fire trucks positioned at the nearest hydrants to the incident site used foam to extinguish the fire, which covered an area of 100 square meters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
