Qyzyljar district and the city of Petropavlovsk are facing a third wave of flooding, with water levels rising by the hour, Orda.kz reports.
In the village of Teplichny, where residents were evacuated on April 25, rescuers are working around the clock to reinforce dams to contain the flooding.

Work is being carried out non-stop, around the clock. Rescue diving service personnel are involved. They are strengthening the dams using special film,
reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Special precautions are being taken as rising winds increase the risk of damage to protective structures from wave action.
On March 25, authorities ordered the evacuation of Teplichny, located near the regional center.
Days before the evacuation, regional Akim Gauez Nurmukhambetov had assured residents that water levels did not pose a risk to populated areas and that the situation was under control.
