Former Convict Kidnapped And Sexually Assaulted Six-Year-Old Girl In West Kazakhstan Region

In the village of Taskala, in the West Kazakhstan region, police detained a 32-year-old man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a young girl, Orda.kz reports.
According to local sources, on the evening of August 22, the child’s mother encountered an acquaintance on her way home who offered to buy her daughter ice cream. The girl went with the man but never returned. A few hours later, the parents raised the alarm and contacted the police.
This information was confirmed by the West Kazakhstan Region Police Department.
On August 23, the child and the man were found in a wooded area near the village. The suspect was severely intoxicated and asleep, with empty bottles lying beside him. The girl was unconscious. She was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors confirmed sexual assault and reported her condition as one of severe shock.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with this incident. The detainee has been placed in a temporary detention facility, and investigative actions are ongoing, the West Kazakhstan Region Police Department stated.
According to typicaluralsk, the man had been released from prison about two years ago after serving a sentence for theft.
