Former Chief Transport Prosecutor of Kazakhstan, Maksat Duissenov, has been wanted for three days. The information appeared in the legal statistics database, reports Orda.kz.
The case was registered in Almaty on August 29 and is being handled by the police of the Almaly district.
Duissenov previously worked with Kairat Kozhamzharov, former senator, ex-Prosecutor General, and head of the Financial Police. At that time, he headed the Almaty branch of the Financial Police, served as deputy head of the Anti-Corruption Service, and later became Chief Transport Prosecutor.
In early July, Orda wrote about Kozhamzharov and his circle.
Currently under investigation are the former head of the National Bureau for Anti-Corruption, Talgat Tatubayev, and the former head of the Special Prosecutors Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Olesya Keksel.
They are considered among Kozhamzharov’s closest allies. Another associate of the ex-head of the Financial Police and Prosecutor General’s Office, Talgat Makhatov, is behind bars and recently received another lengthy sentence.
