For Further Review: Former Ukrainian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Sees In-absentia Sentence Overturned in Russia

A Moscow City Court has overturned the sentence of former Ukrainian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Pyotr Vrublevsky. The diplomat was previously found guilty in absentia of inciting hatred and enmity based on nationality and language, Orda.kz reports, citing TASS.
The case materials will be reconsidered in the same court.
The sentence was for a 2022 interview when the diplomat was still the ambassador to Kazakhstan. In it, he said:
We are trying to kill as many of them as possible. The more Russians we kill now, the less our children will have to kill,Vrublevsky said.
Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry subsequently designated the ambassador's status undesirable. Later, Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed him.
