Fitness Trainer Assault Case in Aqtau: Sentence Rendered

29-year-old Alina Serikova took her life following both physical and sexual abuse. A group of men had abducted the young woman from the street and subjected her to prolonged abuse, Orda reports.
The court of first instance had initially handed down lengthy prison terms. However, the Serikova family did not consider the verdict just and sought harsher punishments.
Yesterday, dozens of people gathered at the court for the appeal case, and her brother announced that he was demanding a life sentence for the main defendant.
Today (January 31), the decision was announced.
Nurgeldy Seitkaliyev received life.

- Yerkebulan Amankos — 16 years
- Merey Aralbay — 13 years
- Darkhan Kulbas — 13 years
- Kuanysh Usengali — 13 years
The family will receive 30 million tenge in damages.
