First Tourist Train from China Arrives in Almaty

The first international tourist train from Xi’an, China, arrived at Almaty-2 station, where a ceremonial welcome greeted the 246-member delegation, Orda.kzreports.
The group includes business figures, scientists, actors, and athletes. Over five days, they will explore Almaty’s historical and cultural sites.
The train launch coincides with the upcoming China–Central Asia summit in Astana and is part of broader efforts to boost cultural ties and promote rail tourism between Kazakhstan and China.
