Finance Minister Says Officials’ Declarations to Be Published by Year-End

Kazakhstan’s Finance Minister Madi Takiyev has clarified the timeline for publishing officials’ asset declarations, Orda.kz reports.
Speaking at a government press conference, he said the matter is currently on the agenda.
Declaration is submitted until September 15. Publication will be before the end of the year. Information is published on items that were sold in the previous year — that is, the declaration for last year (2024). For the past year, if there were transactions involving assets, they will be indicated in the declaration. The declaration does not include salaries, because they are not filled in — we, the Ministry of Finance and the State Revenue Committee, see that amount. The declaration only indicates the movement of assets,
Takiyev told reporters.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin also weighed in:
I think you’ve long known how much we earn. You’ve been given answers to these questions many times. (...) Everything we bought last year — including property, securities, and so on — will be reflected along with sources of funding. So you will have quite an interesting end of the year,
he said.
According to Takiyev, the declarations will be published on ministerial websites.
