Zelensky said that Ukraine offered Slovakia compensation, Orda reports.
The offer was to compensate for the termination of Russian gas transiting via Ukraine.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico recently visited Moscow to meet with Vladimir Putin, a rare occasion for an EU authority of such stature.
The reason concerned the transit of Russian gas to Europe. Zelenskyy reaffirmed that transit via Ukraine would not be extended.
We made him an offer on possible compensation for the Slovaks, specifically for the Slovaks, for losses from Russian transit, and on alternatives for transit of any other gas, not Russian, at the request of the European Commission. We were ready to do it. Fico did not want compensation for the Slovaks, Zelenskyy said.
Fico previously claimed his Ukrainian counterpart offered 500 million euros in exchange for Slovakia to approve Ukraine's NATO membership in NATO.
The finances were supposed to come from frozen Russian assets.
