The embezzlement of budget funds in the Pavlodar region was discovered after a prosecutor's inspection, Orda.kz reports.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the tasks set for farmers were achieved dishonestly.
In some cases, in order to create an illusory prosperity in the agro-industrial sector, the reporting data on the acquisition of agricultural machinery was misrepresented. In fact, the subsidy process was reduced to only a formal acceptance of applications and the distribution of budget funds, the prosecutor's office reported.
The damage to the state from illegal actions in developing the agro-industrial complex amounted to 500 million tenge.
Two agricultural producers received subsidies for the purchase of equipment for a total of 132 million tenge for the purpose of illegal enrichment, which they spent for other purposes, the government agency said.
Materials for taking legal measures were collected on all corruption schemes. An order was sent to the Akimat to resolve the violations.
