Qasym-Jomart Toqayev and Serdar Berdimuhamedow discussed exports and trade relations between the countries.
The leaders held expanded talks. Toqayev stated that there has been tremendous progress in developing trade and economic partnerships.
The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan said that Kazakhstan is ready to expand exports to Turkmenistan by approximately $120 million across 80 commodity items.
He noted the high investment potential of small and medium-sized businesses and trade cooperation.
Business circles should be the main driving force. I believe it is important to concentrate the efforts of representatives of large commercial and national companies of the two countries on launching real projects in industry, construction, logistics, communications and other sectors of the economy, Toqayev believes.
Concluding the meeting, he congratulated the Turkmen side on the 300th anniversary of the outstanding poet Makhtumkuli Fragi. A monument to him was unveiled in Astana in the summer.
