The ex-wife of Kuandyk Bishimbayev, convicted of homicide, has reported ongoing delays and a complete halt in alimony payments, Orda.kz reports.
Nazim Kakharman, Bishimbayev's former spouse, stated on her YouTube channel that his family has refused to meet their obligations to the three children from their marriage.
According to her, since the alimony agreement was signed in 2020, payments have been consistently delayed, and essential expenses such as psychological support, medical treatment, vacations, and vitamins have been ignored.
Last year, rest was not paid for. Psychologist's services were not paid for, although the children underwent therapy regularly. Not a single doctor's bill, vitamins or medications were compensated,
she said.
Kakharman added that she had repeatedly submitted receipts and supporting documents to Bishimbayev’s lawyer but received no response.
On March 30, the lawyer representing the former Minister’s family contacted Kakharman to inform her of a complete refusal to continue alimony payments. No reason was given.
In the same video, Kakharman responded to claims made by Bishimbayev’s sister, accusing her of spreading false information. She stated that her family had never had close ties with Bishimbayev’s relatives and described attempts to portray her as manipulative or dependent as attempts to discredit her.
Nazim Kakharman and Kuandyk Bishimbayev were married for 14 years. After Bishimbayev’s release from prison in 2019 — following a previous conviction for corruption — they divorced. The couple has three children.
Former Minister of National Economy Kuandyk Bishimbayev was sentenced to 24 years in prison for killing his partner Saltanat Nukenova. The crime occurred on November 8–9, 2023, at the BAU restaurant on the second floor of the Gastrocenter in Astana.
