EKR: Border Guard Soldier Commits Suicide

At five o'clock in the evening on November 7, a private born in 2005 shot himself in the head twice with an AK-47, Orda.kz reports.
Orda.kz learned from sources that the 19-year-old soldier served in the KNB border troops at the Zaisan checkpoint. He was a native of the Turkestan region. No suicide note was found at the scene.
Although the deceased conscript was found with two gunshot wounds to the head, the cause of death was listed as “mechanical asphyxia.”
An investigation has been launched.
On November 7, a conscript died in the Border Service Department of the East Kazakhstan Region. According to preliminary information, the cause of death was suicide. The police have launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (driving to suicide),the KNB press service reported.
