EBRD President to Visit Kazakhstan

President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso will visit Kazakhstan and meet with President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev, Orda.kz reports.
The EBRD reports that Renaud-Basso's visit will last two days - October 31 and November 1. She plans to hold talks with members of the government and representatives of Kazakh financial institutions.
Odile Renaud-Basso's meeting with Qasym-Jomart Toqayev will be a key event. The head of the EBRD will also meet with representatives of the Asian Development Bank, sign several agreements on important infrastructure projects, and participate in several events.
President Renaud-Basso will touch on the importance of renewable energy for Kazakhstan’s economy, the growing role of public-private partnerships in addressing critical infrastructure needs, and issues of interregional connectivity and small and medium-size enterprise (SME) development, the EBRD says.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is a significant investment partner of Kazakhstan. It finances about 330 projects in the country for a total of over 10 billion euros.
In July, reports emerged that the bank allocated over 100 billion tenge to finance Kazakhstan Temir Joly.
