Drones Target Oil Refinery in Russia’s Orenburg Region

Drones struck the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in the city of Orsk, Orenburg region, Orda.kz reports.
According to Ukrainska Pravda, which cited its own sources in Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU), the refinery was hit in a drone attack. The outlet also published video footage showing the strikes.
An evacuation was announced at the plant, and Orsk city authorities called on people not to panic, the media wrote.
The incident was indirectly confirmed by Orenburg Governor Yevgeny Solntsev.
An attempt was made to attack an industrial facility in the region using enemy drones. There were no casualties. The plant’s processes were not disrupted. Emergency services are on scene,Solntsev said on his Telegram channel.
The Orsknefteorgsintez refinery is one of Russia’s largest oil-processing facilities.
Located 1,400 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border and less than 20 kilometers from Kazakhstan, it is currently the closest site to Kazakhstan that Ukraine has targeted.
