Drones Strike Gazprom Plant in Bashkortostan

Ukrainian drones have struck a Gazprom plant in Bashkortostan, Russia. Earlier, Russian authorities claimed there had been an attempt to transport drones from Kazakhstan into the region, Orda.kz reports.
According to Kommersant, the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat plant has now been attacked by drones for the second time this month. Ukrainian drones previously hit the facility on September 18.
Radiy Khabirov, head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, said the damage from the latest strike is still being assessed. A fire reportedly broke out at the plant.
Notably, a Gazelle van transporting drone components from Kazakhstan had been scheduled to arrive in Bashkortostan. Just a day earlier, Russian customs officials announced they had intercepted a shipment of drones at the border.
The cargo included a fully equipped reconnaissance aircraft, two fixed-wing UAVs capable of carrying up to five kilograms, and parts for 32 smaller drones.
The entire shipment was seized and sent for examination.
