The birds' bodies were spread over an area of about 500 meters.
The regional inspection of the Forestry and Wildlife Committee commented on the situation.
Lake Karakol is home to dozens of swans and various other bird (species - Ed.). The recent deaths of several birds along the Caspian coast were due to natural causes linked to the birds' weakened conditions the department assured.
While the inspection denies mass mortality, it considers the possibility that some of the birds may have died from bird flu.
At the end of December, microbiology and virology center specialists collected samples from dead swans and ducks in Lake Karakol. The results will be ready by January 10.
In November 2024, more than 120 dead seals were found in just one day on the Caspian coast.
