Dimash Kudaibergen has received a new international honor: at the 116th session of the Council of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), he was appointed a Global Goodwill Ambassador, Orda.kz reports.
The new role will give him a broader platform to advocate for migrants, internally displaced people, refugees, victims of human trafficking, and other vulnerable groups who rely on international support.
Dimash uses his voice not only to touch the hearts of listeners, but also to help people affected by a crisis be heard and seen, so that the unique features of their culture are noticed. “IOM Director General Amy Pope noted.
For IOM, Dimash is already a familiar partner. In 2024, he became the organization’s Goodwill Ambassador for Asia, joining humanitarian initiatives and educational campaigns. During UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ visit to Kazakhstan, he presented his ideas on how art can strengthen humanitarian work and reach global audiences.
The collaboration intensified in 2025. Dimash joined IOM’s Ramadan campaign, continued raising awareness about human trafficking, and met with Amy Pope to reaffirm his long-term commitment to supporting people affected by crises.
During his Stranger world tour — with shows in New York, Mexico City, Barcelona, London, and Berlin — Dimash turned his concerts into platforms for promoting inclusivity and sustainability. More than 100,000 audience members were exposed to IOM messages through his performances.
Through his work, Dimash continues to remind audiences that behind every humanitarian crisis are real people striving to rebuild their lives.
