Majilis deputy Rinat Zaitov has submitted a request to Prosecutor General Berik Asylov regarding the case of illegally acquired assets belonging to the Nazarbayev family, Orda.kz reports.
Zaitov recalled that a court recently stripped Nurbol Nazarbayev, son of Bolat Nazarbayev, of assets worth 57 billion tenge, imposed a 925 million tenge fine, and ordered 230.4 million tenge in compensation. All of his accounts and company management rights have been frozen.
The deputy noted that it remains unclear whether certain properties—such as markets and land, including the controversial Altyn Orda market — are included in the list of confiscated assets.
He said secrecy around the proceedings is fueling public mistrust.
Zaitov demanded that authorities:
- Conduct an inventory of all Nazarbayev family assets
- Return illegally acquired property to the state
- Publish full information on confiscations
- Investigate the Altyn Orda market and land in Almaty and the region
Citizens must know that the returned assets are actually working for the country, and that those responsible will be held accountable, he stressed.
