Defense Ministry Comments on Situation with Peacekeepers in Golan Heights

Kazakhstan's Defense Ministry shared information about the current situation in the Golan Heights, Orda reports.
Kazakhstani peacekeepers are carrying out a UN mission there. The Ministry says the situation in the region remains tense but is assessed as stable.
The mission personnel continue to serve under the mandate. The authorized persons of the UN forces maintain constant contact with representatives of both the Syrian and Israeli sides.
All necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the peacekeepers. The Ministry of Defense is monitoring the development of the situation and is in constant contact with the Kazakhstani military personnel, the statement says.
If necessary, the UN leadership will consider evacuating the mission at the mission command's recommendation.
