A brown bear turned wildlife photographer's assistant - albeit briefly.
In Katon-Karagai National Park, there was quite a stir among park staff when they discovered some unexpected selfies on their camera trap.
The inquisitive bear wasn't content with just passing by; it decided to get up close and personal with the equipment.

Unfortunately, the bear's photography career was short-lived.
Its enthusiastic "inspection" of the camera ended with the device being torn from its mount and broken.
The park staff managed to salvage the memory card and recover the images.
Despite the damaged equipment, these unique photos have actually provided valuable data for our research, noted the Department of Wildlife Conservation and Reproduction, finding a bright side to their curious visitor's destructive investigation.
