The Russian Investigative Committee announced yesterday (February 6) the completion of the investigation into the terror attack, Orda reports, citing TASS.
The trial is unlikely to begin in the near future.
The investigation is complete, and parties have begun reviewing the materials. By law, victims review first, and there are about a thousand of them. So it's unlikely the case will be quickly transferred to court, commented Oleg Vlasov, attorney for one of the accused.
Victims may choose not to read the materials.
If there are several refusals, the case will be transferred to the Prosecutor's Office much faster.
On March 22, 2024, the most significant terror attack in Russia in 20 years occurred at the Crocus City Hall concert venue.
ISIS*, banned in Kazakhstan, claimed responsibility for the tragedy.
At least 182 people died. About 20 people are implicated in the case. Four of them are the attack's direct perpetrators.
