The Bostandyq District Court of Almaty has partially upheld the lawsuit filed by public figure Sanzhar Bokayev against blogger Anton Budarov, Orda.kz reports.
Lawyer Murat Adam confirmed that the ruling, issued on July 30, 2025, has now entered into legal force.
The court determined that statements made by Budarov in a video published on September 6, 2024, were false and harmed the honor, dignity, and business reputation of Bokayev.
The decision obliges Budarov to:
- Remove the disputed video from his channel
- Record and publish a 20-minute rebuttal
- Pay Bokayev 500,000 tenge in moral damages and cover legal expenses
The court reduced the compensation from the initially requested one million tenge to 500,000, but fully satisfied the other demands, Bokayev’s lawyer Murat Adam said.
