The controversial blogger known as Mellstroy has been added to an international wanted list on suspicion of promoting an online casino.
A court in Kazakhstan has approved a preventive measure in the form of pretrial detention, Orda.kz reports.
According to the Financial Monitoring Agency (FMA), 26-year-old Belarusian citizen Andrey Burim, better known as Mellstroy, is suspected of organizing a large-scale online campaign advertising an illegal gambling platform.
The content was widely viewed, including by users in Kazakhstan.
To promote the online casino, the blogger launched giveaways and challenges. Participants were instructed to create TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social media videos referencing the Mellstroy.game brand, its logo, and links to the platform,
the FMA stated.
Authorities warn that such promotional schemes fall under criminal liability.
Mellstroy has received a conviction in Russia after assaulting a woman live on air. In November 2025, a Minsk court labeled his channels, logos, and watermarks as extremist materials.
The blogger warned Belarusian followers:
If you repost any of my videos or even mention my username and get caught, you could face administrative or criminal charges for extremism. Be careful… We’ll get through this.
Despite ongoing scandals, Mellstroy retains a huge audience — over 3 million Instagram followers and nearly 1 million on Telegram. His popularity is largely fueled by provocative livestreams, past violence, aggressive gambling ads, and bizarre public challenges.
Recently, he launched a “creative marathon” with an apartment giveaway that effectively acts as cover for a casino tied to a bookmaker.
People from Kazakhstan also joined:
- A young man in Taldykorgan legally changed his name to Game Mellstroy Serikuly to attract attention
- In Astana, one contestant ran half-naked through the MEGA Silk Way mall, ending up with 15 days of arrest
The FMA is asking the public to report any information on Mellstroy’s whereabouts to the Astana Department of Economic Investigations:
- +7 7172 70 84 78
- +7 7172 70 84 79
Meanwhile, the blogger appears unfazed — posting videos on Instagram showing himself flying through foreign airports.
