Commercial AI Factory: NVIDIA Partners with Kazakhtelecom to Launch First Sovereign AI Platform in Kazakhstan

NVIDIA, the world’s most valuable tech company, is partnering with Kazakhtelecom to launch Kazakhstan’s first commercial sovereign AI factory powered by next-generation NVIDIA H200 GPUs, Orda.kz reports.
The initiative is part of Kazakhstan’s broader national strategy for digital transformation and strengthening its technological sovereignty.
The AI factory is set to launch this summer. With a processing capacity of 56.4 petaflops (FP16), the platform will be capable of handling massive data volumes and training large-scale AI models. It will feature high-performance accelerated computing, a robust high-speed network, fault-tolerant data storage, and full access to the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software suite.
Offered as a cloud service, the platform will provide secure, scalable AI infrastructure to government agencies, private companies, startups, and universities throughout Kazakhstan. It’s expected to drive the adoption of advanced AI applications across sectors like finance, mining, aviation, oil and gas, and construction.

This partnership with NVIDIA will equip the public and private sectors with tools to create AI-driven solutions, develop local expertise, and foster national innovation,said Bagdat Musin, Chairman of the Board at Kazakhtelecom.
According to Ronnie Vasishta, SVP Telecom at NVIDIA, every country is aiming to shape its technological future and harness the potential of AI. He noted that by utilizing NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and comprehensive AI platform, Kazakhtelecom is enabling a transformative leap for both Kazakhstan and the broader region, empowering local players to create AI solutions aligned with national priorities.
The AI cluster will be integrated into Kazakhtelecom’s national network to ensure stable operations and seamless scalability.
