China Hosts First China–Central Asia Police Special Forces Competition in Urumqi

The first-ever China–Central Asia Special Police Skills Challenge began on September 8, 2025, in Urumqi, Xinjiang, according to China Daily, Orda.kz reports.
Around 80 elite special police officers from five countries — China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan — are participating.

Participants will showcase their abilities over three days in seven disciplines, including rope descent and ascent, obstacle navigation, driving, first aid, and other tactical skills.
The event aims to promote law enforcement capacity, deepen regional cooperation in counterterrorism and transnational crime, and strengthen regional security.
