Chief Prosecutor of Rudny Detained

The Prosecutor General’s Office has confirmed that the chief prosecutor of Rudny was detained on September 28 in an operation carried out by the Qostanay Regional Prosecutor’s Office together with the National Security Committee, Orda.kz reports.
According to the agency’s press service, he was detained on suspicion of committing a criminal offense. No additional details were provided.
Open sources identify the detainee as Murat Uspanov, who was appointed prosecutor of Rudny on September 6, 2024. He previously headed the Arqalyq Prosecutor’s Office in Qostanay Region. The case is reportedly linked to corruption, specifically bribery.
