Bust of Zamanbek Nurkadilov Unveiled in Kegen
The official ceremony of opening the bust took place in the Almaty region, in the native village of the deceased politician. This was President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev's initiative.
The statesman's son, Kairat Nurkadilov, unveiled the bust.
Public figure Rysbek Sarsenbay noted that they initially planned to install a memorial, not a bust. Sarsenbay again called for a review of the investigation into the politician's death.
A full-fledged memorial was planned, but then they decided to install a bust. This decision was not explained in any way. The case needs to be re-opened and re-investigated because no one believes the suicide version. So many years have passed... Sarsenbay said.

The bust's opening ceremony was to be on November 25 but was postponed, as Zamanbek Nurkadilov’s first wife passed away.
