Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has granted pardons to 23 individuals previously convicted of extremism-related offenses, Orda reports, citing his press office.
The pardoned individuals had submitted clemency petitions and "admitted their guilt and expressed remorse."
The group includes three women and 20 men, with 13 being over 50 years old.
Fourteen of those pardoned have chronic health conditions, and 12 are parents.
This marks Lukashenko's latest round of pardons, following a similar decree on November 20, 2024, when he pardoned 32 Belarusian citizens convicted of extremist crimes, including eight women and 24 men.
