A unique photo mosaic was created at the Astana Arena stadium — the largest portrait assembled from children’s drawings, Orda.kz reports.
The project is dedicated to two commemorative dates at once: the 80th anniversary of Victory and the 115th anniversary of the hero’s birthday.
The mosaic, covering an area of 2,736 square meters, was assembled by 570 schoolchildren from the capital.
Each piece is an individual artwork by a young participant, completed under the Creative Voucher Program.
The final portrait measures 32 by 70 meters.
The project has already been submitted for registration in the World Book of Records. After the record is confirmed, all participants will receive personalized certificates and medals, and their names will be entered into the book of achievements.
