Journalists asked the Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balaeva, why the author of the Telegram channel "Dikaya Orda," Daniyar Adilbekov, was quickly identified and punished. In contrast, other anonymous channels continue to write about officials' private lives, and their owners remain unpunished, Orda.kz reports.
The Minister stressed that citizens whose honor and dignity are affected can file litigation. Balayeva also condemned such Telegram channels.
I am against such Telegram channels and, in general, against the dissemination of false information because the principle of journalism – objectivity, openness and reliability – must always be maintained, said the head of the Ministry of Culture on the sidelines of the Majilis.
Journalists asked whether the Minister plans to contact the National Security Committee to identify the authors.
Of course, but many of them are abroad, and it is difficult to find them. I am interested because there is a lot of false, unreliable information. Well, and we see that in some, yes, really dirty pornography is even published. Therefore, of course, as a minister, I am interested in finding them so that they will come out into the legal field and answer for their illegal actions,
added Aida Balayeva.
Balayeva recommended that those ministers whose personal lives are actively discussed in Telegram channels “not be afraid to go to court.”
