Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree allowing residents of Baikonur to receive housing subsidies out of turn if they participated in military operations, Orda.kz reports.
The right to payments is granted to Russian citizens who took part in the “special military operation” and who work, or previously worked, in government bodies, municipal institutions, or enterprises in the rocket and space industry.
In other words, Baikonur residents with Russian citizenship will now be able to receive social payments for housing on a priority basis.
