Azerbaijan has accused Armenian forces of opening fire on its border positions, Orda reports.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported incidents occurring on March 16 at 9:45 a.m., 6:35 p.m., and between 8:10-8:45 p.m.
However, Armenia’s Ministry of Defense has denied the allegations, calling them "untrue."
Yerevan reiterated its proposal to establish a joint mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations.
Meanwhile, the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia (EUMA) dispatched patrols to various locations along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border on March 16-17.
This exchange of accusations comes amid ongoing peace negotiations, as both countries recently finalized a draft peace agreement.
