AZAL Plane Crash: Kadyrov to Honor Surviving Crew Members

Ramzan Kadyrov has announced he "will honor" the surviving crew members of the crashed AZAL aircraft, Orda reports.
Flight attendants Zulfugar Asadov and Aydan Rahimli will receive the "For Services to the Chechen Republic" award. A memorial plaque for the victims will be installed in Chechnya.
In December 2024, an Embraer 190 of Azerbaijan Airlines flying from Baku to Grozny crashed near Aqtau. Of the 67 people on board, 38 died. The President of Azerbaijan placed responsibility on Russia.
A fragment of a missile from the Russian "Pantsir-C" air defense system was reportedly found at the crash site.
