Autogas Prices Set to Rise Across Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Energy has approved a price increase for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), with rates rising by 5 to 20 tenge per liter depending on the region. In some areas, prices will reach 107 tenge per liter, Orda.kz reports.
Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev has signed the order.
In Astana and Almaty, prices will rise to 102 tenge per liter, while in Shymkent, the cost will increase to 90 tenge. In remote areas of several regions, the price will rise to a maximum of 107 tenge.
New LPG Prices from February 1:
- Astana – 102 tenge/liter (previously 82 tenge)
- Almaty – 102 tenge (previously 89 tenge)
- Shymkent – 90 tenge (previously 70 tenge)
- Aqtobe, Atyrau regions – 77 tenge (previously 59 tenge), remote areas: 82 tenge
- Aqmola region – 102 tenge (previously 84 tenge), remote areas: 107 tenge
- Almaty region – 102 tenge (previously 89 tenge), remote areas: 107 tenge
- Jambyl region – 90 tenge (previously 78 tenge), remote areas: 95 tenge
- West Kazakhstan region – 77 tenge (previously 70 tenge), remote areas: 82 tenge
- Qyzylorda region – 90 tenge (previously 70 tenge), remote areas: 95 tenge
- Mangystau region – 65 tenge (previously 59 tenge), remote areas: 70 tenge
- Pavlodar region – 102 tenge (previously 81 tenge), remote areas: 107 tenge
- North Kazakhstan region – 102 tenge (previously 89 tenge), remote areas: 107 tenge
- Turkistan region – 90 tenge (previously 70 tenge), remote areas: 95 tenge
- East Kazakhstan, Qostanay, Qaraganda, Jetisu, Ulytau, and Abay regions – 102 tenge (previously 84 tenge), remote areas: 107 tenge
The Ministry of Energy cites market conditions and regulatory needs as the reasons behind the price hike.
At the same time, Kazakhstan’s cheaper fuel is facing restrictions in Europe, with concerns that it may be helping Russia bypass sanctions.
