Authorities Announce Evacuation of Teplichny Village
In the Northern Kazakhstan Region, local authorities have ordered the evacuation of Teplichny village, located on the outskirts of the regional center, Orda.kz reports.
Late in the evening, about a thousand people — including military personnel, National Guard Academy cadets, enterprise workers, civil servants, police officers, and rescue teams — were mobilized into the village.
They worked through the night reinforcing a leaking dam.

The evacuation is being carried out from 15:00 to 18:00 on April 25. For those who need help, a shuttle and an ambulance will be organized for transportation. For questions, please call 8 715 382 12 01,
the North Kazakhstan Regional Akimat said.
Temporary accommodation has been arranged at Secondary School No. 2 in the village of Beskole and at a dormitory in Petropavlovsk.
Emergency personnel, local executive bodies and other emergency services are working on the scene. We kindly ask you to remain calm and strictly follow the instructions of emergency services. Work to strengthen the dam in the village of Teplichny continues,
officials added.
Just days ago, regional governor Gauez Nurmukhambetov assured the public that populated areas were not in danger and that the situation was under control.
Today, Minister of Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov arrived in the region but declined to give interviews to the media.
The Qyzyljar district and Petropavlovsk are now facing a third wave of flooding, with water levels rising by the hour.
