Authorities in the Atyrau region have launched mass unscheduled inspections of gas stations following the explosion at the Niyet refueling station in Qulsary, Orda.kz reports.
The inspections revealed that some owners had been misusing land, constructing gas stations in prohibited areas.
As a result of the inspection, eight administrative cases were opened. The owners of the refueling stations were fined and issued orders to eliminate the violations,
the Land Management Committee said in a statement.
Inspections are ongoing.
At the end of May, an explosion at the Niet gas station in Qulsary sparked a fire that spread to nearby buildings, leaving two people dead and 16 injured.
