Beginning May 1, the Atyrau Oil Refinery will reduce its oil processing tariff to 47,000 tenge per ton, reports Orda.kz.
According to the KazMunayGas press service, the new rate is 7,450 tenge less than the previous tariff.
The decision to revise the tariff was made to ensure equal profitability for subsoil users supplying oil for processing to domestic oil refineries. This approach helps equalize economic conditions for all participants in the oil sector and strengthen the domestic oil products market, KMG stated.
The tariff reduction follows the refinery’s move to optimize its loan repayment schedule.
Meanwhile, the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant recently announced an increase in its processing rate to 35,400 tenge per ton.
