The Atyrau Oil Refinery has resumed operations at full capacity following scheduled maintenance earlier in October, Orda.kz reports.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the refinery completed repairs between October 1 and 25, after which production volumes were gradually restored.
On November 6–7, the Atyrau Refinery processed 16,800 tons of oil per day, or up to 100% of its design capacity. Over 10,000 tons of liquefied gas, AI-92 gasoline, and interseasonal and winter diesel fuel were produced and subsequently shipped,
the ministry stated.
Officials emphasized the importance of liquefied gas production, noting that the Atyrau plant accounts for around 11% of Kazakhstan’s total output, producing roughly 700 tons per day.
Additional volumes of fuel are already being sent to the regions in accordance with the delivery plan, which will fully cover current needs,
the ministry added.
Last month, several regions of Kazakhstan — particularly the North Kazakhstan Region — reported interruptions in liquefied gas supplies, partly due to the refinery’s temporary shutdown for maintenance.
