Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a commission meeting on asset recovery, Orda reports, citing the government Telegram channel.
The commission approved agreements with subjects of the law "On The Return of Illegally Acquired Assets to The State" on transferring money to the state and implementing social projects for more than 525 billion tenge.
The commission approved the construction, via the law's subjects, of a sports complex for gifted children-athletes with 120 places in Arqalyq, a rehabilitation center for children with musculoskeletal conditions in Astana, and a training center for people with special needs with a 400-person capacity in Almaty.
As the President noted, all returned funds should work for the benefit of Kazakhstanis. Since the beginning of this year, the commission has approved agreements on the return of assets totaling more than 900 billion tenge. Social infrastructure facilities have already begun to be built with these funds, Bektenov emphasized.
Earlier, on the President's instructions, funds were allocated from the state fund for constructing a sports complex in the village of Zerenda in the Aqmola region and a music school in Temirlan in the Turkestan region.
