Asset Recovery: Kazakhstan Re-Auctions Luxury Jewelry, Watches, and Collectibles at Reduced Prices

High-end accessories and valuables are once again being put up for auction, Orda.kz reports.
A state asset recovery management company has launched a second sale on the E-Qazyna portal. This round features 71 lots, including souvenir coins, collectible pens, weapons, watches, and jewelry.
Fifty-nine auctions are scheduled with a combined starting value of 551 million tenge. The priciest item is a pair of De Beers white-gold earrings set with six-carat diamonds.
Originally listed in February for 158 million tenge, the starting price has now been lowered to 110.6 million. A security deposit of 16.6 million tenge is required to participate.
Another notable lot is the “Turban” ring: 18-karat gold, eight grams in weight, and decorated with diamonds, rubies, and sapphires. Its starting price is 955,000 tenge with a 143,000-tenge deposit. The piece is valued at over 1.3 million tenge. Bidding opens on October 8 at 12:00 p.m.
Also on offer is a Montegrappa Italia fountain pen in traditional style, made from 925 sterling silver. It carries a starting price of 534,000 tenge and an estimated value of 628,000.
Proceeds from the auction will go to a special government fund that finances social programs.
