Against the backdrop of violence, suicides, and other tragedies in Kazakhstan's army, Commander-in-Chief of Ground Forces Mereke Kuchekbayev called on the public to "trust official statements," reports Orda.kz.
At the Otar training ground, Mereke Kuchekbayev responded to an Orda.kz journalist's question about the situation among military personnel:
We have heard official statements from the law enforcement system. Pre-trial investigations are being conducted on all cases, with all necessary expert examinations being prepared. The final assessment here is given by the law enforcement system and courts. We must trust the official statements of law enforcement, Kuchekbayev said.
