Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan stated that the law on Armenia's EU membership contains no operational roadmap with specific actions, describing it as "primarily a political message," Orda reports, citing News Armenia.
Speaking Monday to the Parliamentary Commission on European integration, Hovhannisyan noted that a new agenda document is being finalized that supplements CEPA (the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement) and expands areas of cooperation with the EU.
He added that strengthening CEPA implementation will enable a new level of progress in the future.
Armenia-EU cooperation has evolved since CEPA took effect on March 1, 2021.
In September 2024, the EU-Armenia visa liberalization dialogue officially launched, with work continuing on a comprehensive document called "New Partnership Agenda."
